Designed by JM Finot-Conq (designer of the mini pogo mini pogo winners in the minitransat, the imocas60 and Beneteau) and by Cino Ricci for the Giro d'Italia, in collaboration with the Maxi Dolphin shipyard in Italy.

The main characteristic of these boats is their ease of planing, due to the generous size of their sails, their width and their lightness. This makes them unbeatable in carrying winds compared to even significantly larger ships. Their flat shapes, their generous beam in the aft sections and the large sail area of their mainsail and asymmetrical spinnakers bring a lot of power to the ultralight hull.
